TCL Signa Goes Official: Low-End Smartphone From Verizon


American telco Verizon has officially launched its latest smartphone in the United States – TCL Signa. It is a low-end smartphone and its tie to the American telco for bundle package.

TCL Signa, model number 5004S, is available in the United States via Verizon since September 2020. The pricing is at a very affordable pricing of USD 79.90. Only one black color available.

TCL Signa Specifications and Features

On the front, TCL Signa has a 5.5-inches IPS display with 720 x 1440 pixels resolution and Dragontrail Glass protection. On the back, it has only single camera – 8MP main sensor while the front-facing camera is a 5MP sensor.

Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 429 SDM429 processor and Adreno 504 GPU. The RAM memory is 2GB alongside 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded further with a microSD up to 256GB as per official website. On the software, the device is running on TCL UI on top of Android 10, which isn’t bad after all as this is a low-end device.

Other connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC are equipped for this device. There is no fingerprint sensor for this device, but user is able to utilize the face recognition to lock or unlock device. The dimensions are measured at 5.76” x 2.80” x 0.37”. On the weight, it is 5.64Oz. Last but not least, the device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
